Finnish KFOR visit at KAPS

On Friday the 7th of July five soldiers from the Finnish KFOR LMT visited the KAPS campus. They were given a tour on the premises and presentations on the Twinning project and other operations within the Academy.

As KFOR LMT is a part of the public safety sector in Kosovo, both parties felt that it is crucial to maintain close relations and cooperation between all parties that contribute to the safety of the people of Kosovo. KFOR cooperates especially with the Kosovo Police on daily basis and to better understand the police operations, they gladly accepted the formal invitation of KAPS and Twinning staff to get to know about the education and the recent developments in the sector.

The visit was kicked off with a presentation about the education KAPS offers to present and future public safety officials. The presentation was given by Mr. Skender Agaj followed by Q&A with the General Director Mr. Ismail Smakiqi. The presentation included the history and the development of the Academy, the curriculum and operations, and future goals and ongoing development procedures.

After the presentations the KFOR LMT visitors were given a tour around the premises. The tour included a visit to the modern fire range simulator recently acquired by KAPS. The tour ended in the KAPS Twinning offices with a brief presentation about the project and its operations.
